Brigidine College is seeking a highly skilled Laboratory Technician to join our inclusive school community based at Indooroopilly.

About This Opportunity

The Laboratory Technician is crucial in the effective operation of the Science Facilities, particularly the laboratories. This position provides support to the Science Leader of Learning and Science teachers in maintaining preparation rooms and laboratories in a safe, orderly and hygienic condition in accordance with Work Health Safety guidelines and is responsible for ordering and maintaining supplies used in the teaching of science.

  • Permanent part-time, term-time position
  • 40 hours per fortnight 
  • Three days per week, days negotiable
  • School hours 8.30am – 3.30pm 2 days; 8am – 3.30pm 1 day
  • Preferred start – beginning of term 4 (Monday 30 September 2024)
  • Base hourly rate $38.2921 – $40.1553 (commensurate with experience) + 12.75% super + leave loading

As the appointment is a term-time only position, working term-time plus 3 weeks (approximately 40 weeks), all non-term times are taken as leave without pay other than the period of annual leave, which is taken during the Christmas school holiday period.
