Advertisement means an advertisement on the Company website or any one of the participating free or paid job boards or social platforms that contain Data that promotes a job vacancy within a School;
Application the action by which a Candidate, for the specific purpose of obtaining a job with the School, submits to a School the Data and information related to their candidacy including but not limited to a CV or resume, application forms;
Candidate means you are using this website for the expressed purpose of finding a job, including the creation of profiles, applications and the accessing of Data and information related to jobs and schools;
School means the school that has posted a job or has their Employee Value Proposition showcased on the Website;
Company means Employo Pty Limited;
Candidate Profile means employment information related to a candidate including uploaded documents like a CV. Candidate Profiles are used to Follow specific schools giving them access to your Candidate Profile;
Data means any data entered by Candidate or the Company or under the authority of the Company into the Website;
Data Protection Legislation means the Privacy Act of 1988 (Australia), the Privacy Act (New Zealand), General Protection Regulation, Data Protection Act 2018,k the Data Protection Directive (95/46/EC), the Regulation of Investigatory Powers Act 2000, the Electronic Communications Data Protection Directive (2002.58.EC), the Privacy and Electronic Communications (EC Directive) Regulations 2003 (SI 2426/2003) and all applicable Regulations relating to the processing of personal data and privacy (and any successor legislation, including where applicable the guidance and codes of practice issued by the Information Commissioner or any other supervisory authority and the equivalent of any of the foregoing in any relevant jurisdiction;
Discrete Candidate Profile means a Candidate Profile that has a Company ID, Subject Specialization, Role Title and Start Date. Discrete Candidate Profiles are used to Follow schools, giving them access to your Candidate Profile but maintaining your confidentiality;
Follow means to register your Candidate Profile to a specific School through the Website;
Follower means a candidate who, after viewing the school’s Employee Value Proposition, follows the school for the expressed purpose of being notified of jobs at the school or other forms of communication presented to followers by the school;
Personal Information means the information about an identified individual including but not limited to a Candidate User or employee of the Customer;
Searchable Candidate Profile means the information about an identified individual including but not limited to a Candidate User or employee of the Customer;

The Company’s service to Candidates is free. At no point should you be expected to pay the Company or a School or a third party for services related to finding a job. (Please consult or Beware of Scams document for more information);
The Company will provide you with a secure account and password. The Company will not be liable for any loss or damage from your failure to comply with the Company’s security obligations.

- Attempt to undermine the security or integrity of the Website and its systems or networks or, where the Website is hosted a third party, that a third party’s computing systems and networks;
- Access, store, distribute or transmit any Viruses, or any material during the course of its use of the Websites that is unlawful, harmful, threatening, defamatory, obscene, infringing, harassing or racially or ethnically offensive; facilitates illegal activity; depicts sexually explicit images; promotes unlawful violence; is discriminatory based on race, gender, colour, religious belief, sexual orientation, disability; or is otherwise illegal or causes damage or injury to any person or property and the Company reserves the right, without liability or prejudice to its other rights to You, to disable Your access to any material that breaches the provisions of this clause;

The Company will make available Advertisements for the expressed purpose of assisting schools to find teachers, leaders, and support staff;
Job adverts are created and posted by schools over whom the Company expresses no control;
You acknowledge and understand that the Company has no control over the content of Advertisements, links to or from advertisements or school websites;
If you choose to use the Website you must accept the terms of the website.
By creating a Candidate Profile including the uploading of a CV or supporting documents, you authorise the Company to make available your Candidate Profile and supporting documents to a School you chose to follow;
By creating a Searchable Candidate Profile, any communication or material you transmit to this website by electronic mail or otherwise, including any data, questions, comments, suggestions, or the like, will be treated as non-confidential and non-proprietary
We offer you the option of making a Discrete Candidate Profile, meaning your Profile will contain your subject specialisation, current job title and a Company ID only; schools can contact you via the Website only;
You are responsible for keeping your Candidate Profile and supporting documents up-to-date;
The Company assumes no responsibility and disclaims all liability for your Candidate Profile or supporting documentation that you share with Schools or otherwise make public;
By creating a Candidate Profile, the Company may share job ads that match the contents or your Candidate Profile and/or CV and supporting documents;
To mitigate fraud, the Company may mask or hide your contact information.
The Company reserves the right to remove a Candidate’s Profile and suspend or disable a Candidate’s access to the Website Applying for jobs through Employo
Any resume or application information that you submit to a School through the website, including Personal Information is subject to this Agreement;
You acknowledge that prior to applying to a School through the Website you are solely responsible for reviewing and confirming that you are applying to your desired job and School. The Company assumes no responsibility and disclaims any liability over any Application made in error by a Candidate to a School, including but not limited to any Data or information shared with the School during the Application submittal;
To maintain the quality of the website and the Company’s services to schools, the Company at its sole discretion may impose limits on your ability to apply to jobs;
You must note that advertisements expire between the time you view the job and by the time it is received by the School and the Company has no responsibility for expired Advertisements or for delivering Applications prior to an Advertisement expiring;
Schools may direct applicants to their own internal recruitment systems and you will be required to leave the Website to apply. The Company cannot vouch for the technical capabilities of any third-party sites, including but not limited to school internal recruitment or applicant tracking systems. Third-party sites may disclaim liability for technical malfunctions, including the failure in the delivery of applications;
The Company has no control over application requirements set by schools and does not influence the decisions made by Schools to invite Candidates to interview or ultimately hire Candidates while using the Website;
The Company assumes no responsibility and disclaims any liability over the content of the Advertisements or Employee Value Propositions created and published on this Website by School;
The Company assumes no responsibility and disclaims any liability over any decisions, requests, communication, or feedback made by a School that affect a Candidate;
You acknowledge that prior to following a School through the Website you are solely responsible for reviewing and confirming that you are following your desired School;
You agree to Follow schools for the expressed purpose of learning about employment opportunities at the school;
The Company makes not guarantee that a School you follow will make contact with you or will they have a job that suits you to apply for; You acknowledge that though Schools will communicate with a Follower for employment reasons it is not restricted to Job Alerts; The Company assumes no responsibility and disclaims any liability over the Employee Value Propositions created by Schools or any Data or information shared by Schools that entice you to Follow.
In the event you use the Website to communicate with the Company or Schools you will do so for lawful and legitimate purposes;
You will not use such the Website to communicate or disseminate any material unrelated to the use of the Website, including (including (but not limited to): offers of goods or services for sale, unsolicited commercial e-mail, files that may damage any other person's computing devices or software, content that may be offensive to any other users of the EMPLOYO Service, or material or activities in violation of any law or the rights of any third party (including material that is protected by copyright or trade secrets which the Customer does not have the right to use, and material that is defamatory, discriminatory, misleading or deceptive).

Title to all Intellectual Property Rights in or arising out of or in connection with the EMPLOYO Service, the Website and any documentation relating to the Company and Website remain the property of the Company (or its licensors, or related entities, as applicable); These Terms, unless expressly stated herein, does not grant the Candidate any rights to, under or in, any patents, copyright, database right, trade secrets, trade names, trademarks (whether registered or unregistered) or any other rights or licenses in respect of the Website or any associate documentation;
The Company abides by Data Protection Legislation and provides the security and encryption to protect your Data and information. The Company adheres to its best practice policies and procedures to prevent data loss and unauthorised access or disclosure but does not make any guarantees that there will be no loss of or unauthorised access to or disclosure of Data. At times, Schools may use third-party websites to receive Applications instead of using the Website. You must satisfy yourself with such third-party websites including School systems linked to the Website that may be required when making an Application to a School.
Ownership of Data
Title to all intellectual Property Rights for Data and information related to the Candidate. The Data remains Candidate property and you shall have sole responsibility for the legality, reliability, integrity, accuracy and quality of the Data. If you wish to have your Data removed from our website, be it a Candidate Profile, Searchable Candidate Profile or Discrete Candidate Profile simply email dataprotection@employo.com.au
Data Holding
All Data held by the Company is based in Australia and comes with the highest level of encryption security thanks to our partnership with Amazon Web Services (AWS). To obtain our Data Protection and Security Policy please email our Data Protection Officer at dataprotection@employo.com.au
AWS encrypts all Employo data in transit and at rest;
AWS complies with these Terms by providing Employo with full control which is in turn provided to Customers and Candidates throughout the Software which allows for the adjustment and deletion of data at any time;
AWS complies with these Terms by processing customer data only under documented instructions from Employo and does not access, use, or share it without agreement, except as required by law.
AWS has a range of services including but not limited to AWS CloudTrail, Amazon Macie, ASW CloudHSM and ASW Key Management service to enhance compliance, detection, audition and encryption key management.
Employ and its customers and candidates are upheld by AWS Certifications including but not limited to ISO27017, ISO27701 and ISO27018 for security and and privacy.
The Company abides by Data Protection Legislation. The Employo Education Australia Pty Limited Privacy Policy is available upon request by emailing privacypolicy@employo.com.au
